These 180 grit sanding belts (50 x 686mm) are designed for fine finishing work and achieving superior surface quality. This pack of 5 belts is ideal for final smoothing operations, preparing surfaces for painting or coating, and creating a refined finish on delicate materials. Manufactured from high performance resin bonded aluminium oxide, these belts deliver efficient resistance and long-lasting performance even during precision finishing work. The electrostatic sand planting and open coat aluminium oxide grain facilitate excellent chip removal and heat dissipation without scratching or damaging the workpiece. The special butt joint minimises vibration across the work surface, ensuring a consistently smooth and even finish. The strong X-weight polycotton cloth backing provides the flexibility needed for conforming to contoured surfaces whilst maintaining durability, enabling use across different pressure applications. Suitable for fine sanding and finishing of wood, metal, aluminium alloy, painted surfaces, plastic and fillers. Compatible with all 50 x 686mm sanders including Stock No. 05096.
