Sony C-80 Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
The Sony C-80 is a large diaphragm condenser microphone that takes its heritage from Sonys range of microphones. Perfect for vocals and voiceover recording the C-80s thick low-mids help add body and presence to any voice. Its cardioid polar pattern provides a focused and close pickup for a tight upfront sound. The C-80s dual diaphragm configuration gives it a more consistent sound performance that prevents the proximity effect so any performer can get as close to the capsule as theyre comfortable with. Its two-part structure taken from the C-800G prevents vibration from its housing cleaning up any recording. Finally a low-cut filter helps reduce low-frequency noise and emphasise higher frequencies and a pad adds headroom and improves transient handling without distortion.
